The Haldi ceremony, is a traditional Indian pre-wedding ritual where a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, and other auspicious ingredients is applied to the bride and groom's bodies. It's celebrated a day or two before the wedding with music, dance, and joyous festivities. The yellow color of turmeric is symbolic of purity, auspiciousness, and the beginning of a new life.
